Is there any chance Ning will remove b.scorecardresearch.com from our networks?
When it takes a long time to finish loading the user spends precious time looking at her mouse pointer instead of the content.

I checked and we don't seem to have it but I did do some reading on it and came up with a good forum on how to get rid of it...
I have also given this website to my members and I recommend everyone sign up at this site -It's free.
Permalink Reply by LadyHawk on August 10, 2012 at 8:55pm I was wrong...it is showing now on IE so I went to firefox and tried to sign in and it hung up at b.scorecardresearch.com.
TOTAL FREAKIN' INVASION OF PRIVACY!!!

Permalink Reply by Writer Chick {Diane} on August 10, 2012 at 2:10pm This damned thing is jamming up my network too!!!! I wondered why my pages were loading like I had dial up! I looked down at the progress bar and sure enough, there it was!!!

Permalink Reply by Writer Chick {Diane} on August 10, 2012 at 3:42pm I added NoScript and couldn't even get on my own network without "enabling javascript". If I have to do that for every site I go on, it'll be more trouble than it's worth.

Permalink Reply by Writer Chick {Diane} on August 10, 2012 at 4:17pm I've noticed that I see this using Google Chrome, but not Firefox and I'm not running that NoScript plug in.
That's just given me a great reason to stop using Google's browser. I have a sneaking suspicion they're behind this...
I wonder if I stop using their search engine if that will help, too.
Permalink Reply by LadyHawk on August 10, 2012 at 8:59pm I don't use Google anything on my computer except we have Google ads on our site so I don't think it's the Google browser. Funny all of us are showing this at about the same time on all browsers...hummm

Permalink Reply by Writer Chick {Diane} on August 10, 2012 at 4:40pm GAH! I see it on Firefox too, but not as long. It flashes by quickly. On Chrome it was SERIOUSLY slowing down my page loads.

You'll find it at the bottom of the page source.
Permalink Reply by LadyHawk on August 11, 2012 at 1:33am John is right...it's at the bottom of your page source. So yes it was ning/glam that put it there and all of us just didn't pick up a "bug" all at the same time. It is considered malware or virus but it doesn't harm your computer it just slows it down to where it's impossible to get anything done. Your computer may be running just fine but this is part of the source code so it affects all of your members to when they sign in.
