Hi, we'd like to run a contest and randomly select winners based on their member number. Is there any to determine which member is, say, #2006 out of 11374 members? Thanks!

There are 21 members shown on the Members list page. Pick a random number, there are sites out there that will do that ( http://www.random.org/ is one ). Divide it by 21 and go to that page on the Members list page. Take the remainder and count to that number on that page. That member is your winner.
Example: 2006 / 21 = 95.52380952380952380952380952381 so go to page 95.
21 x 95 = 1995
2006 - 1995 = 11
The 11th member on page 95 is the winner.
I hope this helps. Best wishes!

Permalink Reply by Paul Corona on August 8, 2012 at 6:40am export your member data...open that file in something like Excel...assign a sequentially increasing number to a field like "Member Number"...you can then select based on all kinds of statistical functions.....besides, then you get a useful member list for your reference
