We are not satified with our network's logo.

We made this logo for the first time for our network and we were not satisfied with it.

After wards we changed the logo to this but still not satisfied.

 

Can you anyone suggest us which one is better? Or Can any one suggest us the different design which looks professional and better than these 2 ?

It's really great. But I could not understand the background symbol. The background symbol should be more like mountain and all because Kanchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world after Mount Everest. BTW, I like the design...

I also like Massimo's design, it's bold. I don't yet see how it relates to the network. I had a couple of minutes, thought I'd throw a rough idea into the pot. Something different. It's not a great design yet, by any means! I like logos that you can still read (and easily recognise) when they're small. Useful when using it on facebook or twitter etc.

Thank for helping me Chris... your Design also equally good but still something is lacking.. Kanchenjunga Social Networking should in single line...like Massimo has done...your color combination suits my network....but only thing is that the logo should be wider....and background symbol should be more visible...thanks anyways.

Interesting points. Do you mean the logo should be bigger, or a different shape? I like a logo for a Ning Network to be square, so that it works when used on facebook and twitter etc. Plus, it needs to be square to be used on your Ning Network.

If you put the words all on one line then you can't read them when the logo is small. It's not normal to have that much text in a logo anyway. See Massimo's logo small here: 

It will appear that small on your own network, as well as in other places on the internet. Here's another suggestion: Logo with no words, and you write them below as necessary. That's more common, think of the Nasa logo - they don't have "North American Space Agency" written out in the logo, just "NASA".

 

If you want something more like a "masthead", then try something like this. It includes a logo, with more info. Again, these are rough ideas, to get you thinking about what you want from a logo, or whether it's more than a logo you want.

 

A logo is something like the Nike swoosh - simple, instantly recogniseable and works at any size. Here are a few great examples of logos for you. No words, but you know what they are.

Well, I like Massimo's Design but background symbol doesn't match with my site. I like your design also because background symbol and color combination are perfectly fine for my network. But only thing is that it should be little wider than what you have made in square shape. I prefer this kinda design ( concept 1.)

I like it. It suits your network. It works very well small, and is distinctive. Nice font - what is it? 

For me, I'd like the yellow to 'pop' more, and maybe a thin stroke around the lettering in the same colour, but that's just personal taste:
