I'm sure I'm saying what many others are thinking when I say that we should have a Pinterest button along side the twitter and facebook buttons on our sites.  Pinterest has HUGE potential for getting your site out there.

Hey Casey,

Jfarrow wrote out these steps for adding a Pinterest button to a Ning Network. Many Pinterest users will also have the "Pin It" button already installed for easy pinning. Does that help at all, or are you looking for a "pin it" button on every page?

pin it button for blogs would be good

Hey Aaron,

I am looking for a "pin it" button on every page (like the other sharing buttons). Is it possible?

Yes, yes YES! please

Thank you Aaron for your info on how to add the 'pin it' button to ning.

Does anyone know how to connect the 'follow me' button to ning main page?

A 'pin it' button to add items to your personal pinterest board is different from a 'follow me on pinterest' button, which I would like to have on my ning page. Click 'follow me' and you are taken to your personal pinterest page.  I'd like to drive targeted traffic to my pinterest board, especially members of our community.

To be clear, there are two different buttons we are talking about here.

1. 'pin it' button that allows you to add pictures to your Pinterest Boards.

2. 'follow me' pinterest button to be next to your Twitter, FB, G+ buttons. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

There's no way to "integrate" a Pinterest follow me button on the Ning network that I know of.

I have used their code to post a "Follow Me" button on my PROFILE PAGE.  You could create a discussion for your members with screenshots showing them how to add a Follow Me button.  It's pretty simple.

When you are on Pinterest's site, go to "Goodies".  On that page, they have all kinds of buttons you can install.

I'll give you a heads up on the Follow Me button.  When you install the code in the HTML side and then switch to the visual side to double check it...it won't show.  But it's there. When you save, the button will appear like magic.  (don't know how that works. LOL)

Thank you Diane. I'll give it a try

I agree.... :) Many of my members do use the Pin it button from their tool bar but I would like to see a button like this. (Screen Shot of my Etsy shop)

Has anyone installed the Pin it Button next to the other sharing button? I would like to have a look. I really need this button.

Thanks!
