WE NEED THE ABILITY TO "LIKE" COMMENTS and manage our "Likes"

This feature would explode activity on my site, especially within our art threads, where a long, drawn out comment isn't expected, like with our fiction.  Being able to "Like" your favorite piece of artwork is super easy and quick, and would eliminate all the "Beautiful!!" and "Awesome work" kinds of comments we get in our art groups.

We also would need a way to manage our likes. As it is now, we cannot delete anything from our "My Likes" pages which is silly.  If you're going to have a page for your accumulation of likes to begin with, then you should provide a way to delete ones you don't want or need anymore.  What I liked three months ago may be ho-hum today.  

And I know it's not on the Product Roadmap, but it would boost activity on a lot of networks, not just mine.

Not a perfect workaround but couldn't you just unlike the content you want to delete from the Likes page?

Yes, we can do this, but it involves a lot of going back and forth. (PITA)  A little red "x" at the corner of every like on our like page would be more efficient.  But efficiency seems to be a platform weakness with Ning.  There are so many of these small features (and some big ones) that are just so unwieldy to use.

Yes this is a great idea.We need to have the LIKE button  as well  as a  DISLIKE button.This would be a big plus for all of our networks...I believe FB is thinking of going with a DISLIKE button as well.

The like button certainly looks better than the Dislike button, I don't know how many people would use a dislike button if their name was attached to it every time they used this button and i think thats what you would have to do so it was not misused.

dave...every site needs a dislike button and the dislike button looks exactly like the like button upside down so I dont know what youre getting at with "how it looks" bottom line is your fooling yourself if you think everything is supposed to get liked...if your site has music and photos and videos then how can one honestly say I "like" every single song or photo or video this site has to offer...its unrealistic, the dislike button is imperative.

You have wasted a lot of words lol, I'm just saying i like the like button more than the dislike button...i'm not concerned with each buttons aesthetic looks or whether one is upside down or which one is pushed first..or weather they look the same.. "I like the like button it looks good when people use it :-)  .
