Who’s up for some beta action?
As we’ve been doing a lot lately, we want to share an upcoming feature before it's available for everyone with our most dedicated NCs — Network Creators. It’s our way of getting feedback on what we’re working on so it will be successful when it’s ready to be used on your network.
This week, we’re turning on Email Digests here on the Creators Network. Obviously, this will not be available to your members on your network, but you can get an idea of how it will work for your members by turning it on.
How to turn it on
That’s it. You’ll now receive a digest that summarizes the discussions you’re following instead of receiving email notifications every time someone responds in a discussion.
If you’re the type of person who is really active on Creators, this might not allow you to stay on top of all of the conversation, but if you simply want to be updated about the major happenings on Creators, Email Digests might just be for you. In any case, you are welcome to try it both ways.
A few details to keep in mind about this beta:
Of course, we want to know what you think. Specifically, we want to know what you like and don't like about the Digest feature, as well as what options or controls you'd like to see.

But (if static) a weakly/biweakly email notification with top new on your network is maybe the most important feature missing on Ning network. Is is critical to traffic on our networks and we have been discussing it for months here. LinkedIN has it how har can it be... What about letting us vote development priorities - this would pop out on top!
We will have to find another platform if you don't get this feature developed ASP. Sorry for the tone - but this is business critical for me - and for you...

Thanks for the feedback. We agree -- that's a powerful feature, and that's why we're working on email digests. While it's daily for the moment, this certainly builds the groundwork for what would also be a weekly email in the future.
I'm not sure when we'll have a chance to add weekly as an option, but it's definitely something we'd like to do. As for voting, that's exactly what you're doing right now. I don't think this would be the top request for the platform, but it's certainly a common one.
