Many have asked for it:
A better rich text editor.
We're happy to announce that we are in the final stages of beta testing for our new revamped rich text editor.
This is only enabled in the Forum here on Creators, but our hope is that you'll like what you see.

The forum editors are all the same. I was wondering it's still happening with the new Forum editor found here.
Permalink Reply by MAC on November 14, 2010 at 4:40pm I haven't posted a blog here so I don't know about the new editor...but it just happened to me again when I was trying to post an article in a blog. I hope the new editor is better.
This looks smart and simple.. But there is one important feature missing... " After the Jump " , blogger, wordpress & joomla text editors have this feature...I think Ning should have it too... It's really important for Magazine/ News networks like Thisis50.com, Globalpublishers.info, g5click.com, teentz.com and others that i don't know..
( Example from blogger )
Users should be able to decide where they want the post to break instead of it breaking automatical.. that makes the post look unorganized.. especially when it auto breaks showing just a photo.. or a photo-big gap and then one sentence... then break..
It has been 1 year now since i started asking for this... I also came across other creators asking for this right here on Ning creators and Jensocial... Please do something about this... as me.. am willing to pay just to have this feature... if neccessary ..

That's a great request, adding a "More" divider. It's not something we have planned to include in the initial release of the text editor. While it's something we want to do, it's much more than just a text editor improvement, we'd have to make changes to support the "More" divider in the display of the posts as well.
We'll definitely try to add it a bit later on.

Permalink Reply by Bolu on November 19, 2010 at 7:14pm I use firefox. Using this editor with firefox does not underline or identify mispelled words. Please try to look into this before the release. Very important.
Also, I had ealier requested this in a differrnt thread here. I want to see block justify on the new text editor. Is this possible, please?
Cheers!
Permalink Reply by Thiago Santos de Moraes on November 23, 2010 at 9:39pm Well, we need the justify option to paragraphs.

Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on November 29, 2010 at 9:13am Hi, Alfredo. We are working out the last few bugs. Look for it soon, and we'll update here when it is ready.
Permalink Reply by Alfredo Barrera Kleinschmidt on November 29, 2010 at 1:39am Why is not the justify options for the paragraph text?
Permalink Reply by Bolu on November 29, 2010 at 6:55pm ...and misspelled word checker I earlier complained about now works perfectly.
I look forward to seeing block justify as requested. I am liking what I am seeing already. Is there a way we can use this editor to auto add signature? It will be great.
