I genuinely don't understand why announce that there's going to be an announcement on May 4th which is obviously just stressing everyone out? I'm just trying to understand the purpose behind the announcement of the announcement?

The purpose of the announcement was to announce the upcoming announcement on May 4th where the future of Ning will be announced.

Same here...its very frustrating specially if a NC planing on doing any major change to their network....We have to wait three weeks to know if we will able to stick around or pack-up and go.

Even a little detail of what to expect and on may 4th they can hand down the fine print....

Vishnu, I think the best solution for you is to use a community in Orkut (which is the Facebook of India - and also of my country) and in the description section put a link to pages that complement the content. For example, I just transfered all the videos of my Ning site to a blog on Tumblr and put his address on the Orkut version of my network.
