When are you going to Fix the spam issue - It's totally out of control? Solution Please

Is there something we can do or install to stop this I got two more already today. I like having my community open but cannot because of the constant attacks and then I got a weird message via Google that I added as a discussion earlier-

What is NING doing about it we need a fast solution as they keep coming.

That is what I'm doing currently - Is there nothing else to use? Or no other protection that can be put in place it's a little ridiculous that all of Ning is being swamped by these bogus members. Just wondering.

We'll soon have a tool that may help. It's almost ready to go, but you'll probably still get some form of spam no matter what. Spam is a problem across the Internet. I wish we had more time to devote to it, although truth be told we've built about six tools in the past two years to help combat it. It will probably always be a battle. 

I get spam as the moderator of membership here on Creators, but I catch every spammer. I don't think we've ever had a spam account get through. It's annoying, but it's usually just a few bogus accounts every day. Takes me a few seconds to banish it.

It's so weird because for weeks I had zero- when I first launched - nothing and now they are everywhere- TY. I have a quick unrelated ? not sure If I need a support ticket or you know. I want to do a black friday sale for membership. If I add a special price for a 3- or 6 month membership can I activate that for only 24 hours then remove that price option after they've purchased? And if I do that and my existing members want to take advantage of the special does it just get added on to their existing time?

Let me know or if I need to send a ticket to ask I can also.

Hi Lisa,

I managed to stop the spam from entering my site by:

1.Removing links from ning creator
2.Changed security quiz from easy to guess answer to some kind of trivia. ( Make it target specific ).

Like my network for example:

I asked question like this: "Who is the national hero of the Philippines? then I gave hint like this J--- R---l for the answer.

The spammers will have halftime since he needs to do a research for it LOL, but that question can easily be answered by my target community or audience.

I delete about 20 spammers a day. So I made it a requirement to to post a photo in the sign up process. It's been about 16 hours so far with o new spammers. That's the longest stretch I have have with no spammers. So I think it may be working
