I had a Featured Member leave my site.  I cannot find how to UNfeature this person.  Can someone please direct me as to how to make this change?

Also, I notice the number of members in Featured Groups did not decrease as a result of the member leaving.  This isn't real important, but it would nevertheless appear to be a glitch.

Thank you.

Not sure if this will work but you can try
'manage">"members icon"> "left" (in upper right corner) then check the box next to members name and select "delete Content" from the drop down. It might work. As for updating the member count I think that happens later with site updates (just a guess)
Good luck
I couldn't find where you were trying to direct me.

Secondly, and maybe most importantly, the member is gone so no icon for that member will exist, nor will the content be an issue since it was deleted when the member left.

Thanks for trying to help, though. If you have better directions to the members icons, let me know. Maybe I'm wrong and just couldn't find it.

Thanks.
The members icon is on the "manage" page. I think if the member left without deleting his/her content then this may work.

In manage click on the 'members" icon

Then choose "(left)"-these are the members that choose to leave the network

Check the members name then use the "Actions" dropdown and choose "Delete content"

Thanks so much, Curtis. The member has left so they're not on this page anymore. That's the problem.

Thanks for going to all this trouble to give me an assist. You're very kind to have done so.

:-) Jane
You are welcome-but if the member left they should still be in the list of "Left" members. Now I am kinda lost-wish I could have been more help.
Oh! I missed that step! Let me go back and look at that -

I see it - ok. Thanks, Curtis.
I bumped into the answer to my question accidentally.

I added two new members to the "Featured Members" section and this automatically caused the feature to requery the database (if that's how this feature functions - it acts like it) and refresh the data set.

The same thing held true in groups. The featured groups are holding an old number. I'm sure that will change if I unfeature one group and just re-feature it.

Each group that has an old number needs to have a member added to refresh the data set.

I used to be a database programmer so I am familiar with the tendency to forget to figure out a clever way to cause the data sets to refresh themselves everyplace that is affected up- or down-stream when changes are made.
