It's a fantastic website, some really good tips are available out there. I don't know that I'd hold my breath on Ning developing a smiley set when they are readily available all over the place. there are much more pressing issues we need Ning to work on than a smiley set.
Besides, what is your network? the one on your member page here has been taken offline. You are from malaysia huh? interesting.....

Permalink Reply by Writer Chick {Diane} on July 21, 2011 at 6:43am Ace, there is nothing wrong with jquery help's site or his smileys. I've been using his smileys for MONTHS and have had no problem. If you wait on Ning to put out smileys, you shall surely die first.

Permalink Reply by Claire on July 21, 2011 at 11:31am is really great for the smileys. been using them a few weeks now without a problem. So why bother Ning right now for this, when there is one that works perfectly. chat and mobile are much more important than this, so simply just bomb over to JP and you will have your smileys in no time
;-)

Permalink Reply by TJ @ jQueryHelp on July 21, 2011 at 1:32pm I freely admit that it is almost always better if Ning implements a feature as opposed to someone writing a jQuery app to patch it in. If Ning adds Smileys, they will probably be as good or better than mine and I'll be the first to recommend using theirs!
Until then, mine is out there, for free, and seems to be working well. I haven't had any problems pointed out in a while. If anyone chooses to try it, just make sure you get the latest version - 6A - as it was written for the new text editor. It seems to load fast and does not interfere with the editor. Older versions had the ability to turn text emoticons, like :) into smiley images but that caused intermittant problems and is not in version 6A.
If anyone has suggestions for things they would like to see in my Smiley app, let me know and I'll see if they can be added. I appreciate the feedback!
Thanks, and best wishes!
