Hi,
I've disabled Chat and my recent Ad server ads, but it still happens. About once every 5 minutes or so, my page just does a full reload all on it's own. I searched the forum for answers, and found something talking about the new Activity Feed. Is that what's causing this to happen?
This is REALLY REALLY bad. If I'm in the middle of typing a new forum post or a blog or whatever, when it decides to reload, all my work is gone. It just wipes all the text boxes clean.
Surely this is not the expected behavior. Could we get a bug opened and get this resolved ASAP?
EDIT: This happens with Google Chrome v. 13.0.782.215
FIXED: Problem went away with Google Chrome v. 14.0.835.186
Thanks,
Michael

Ok, I removed the Activity Feed from my page and the Top Content widgets ... still reloads. Anyone else seeing this behavior?

I had this happen to me, and tried everything to solve it and couldn't. Then, quite by accident I discovered that my wireless mouse was the culprit. Apparently, those things are only good for one year or so and then they go completely berzerk. I bought a brand new one, and the refreshing instantly stopped. Never in a million years did I suspect this to be the culprit!

Which browser do you use?
Ok, this is definitely a Google Chrome issue. I was trying to debug it in Firefox with Firebug to give you guys more info, but it didn't happen. Then I thought I was losing my mind. But I just tried it again in Chrome and it happened. I'll see if I can get more info for you with Chrome's debugger.

Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on September 23, 2011 at 9:24am I haven't seen any other reports like this. I'm sorry, but this may not be something I can solve. This may be a browser issue. If you want to shoot us a ticket, we can have someone with more technical chops try to look more closely.
Yeah, it's probably a browser issue. Do you guys support Google Chrome? Also, did you observe the behavior on my site? If you guys officially support Chrome, and you saw the behavior, then I'll definitely open an issue so you guys can keep track of the number of Chrome issues people are running into.
I'm a little surprised that it works in Firefox but not in Chrome since both are built on top of Webkit.
Anyways, let me know.
Michael
Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on September 23, 2011 at 2:14pm We do support Chrome. Here is our list of supported browsers. I just haven't been able to see the same thing you have. If you can open a ticket, that would be great.

Permalink Reply by Writer Chick {Diane} on September 23, 2011 at 4:42pm I'm using Google Chrome version 14.0.835.186 m
I'm having no problem with your site. It didn't refresh the whole time I was on it.
Hmm, ok. Thanks for testing it for me. That's good to know.
EDIT: I just updated my version of Chrome to match yours ... and voila, problem solved. Eric, how do I let the Tech Support folks know that my issue was related to a specific version of Chrome?
