Hello. If I may please ask--why is the HTML box so incredibly small for pages? It makes seeing what your page will look like and adding content very, very difficult.

And why can you not edit the html of pages on that page? Going to the management section in order to make any change is terribly inconvenient.

Will these issues be addressed? Thank you!

  • The best advice I can give you for now, is to drag the box from the bottom right side and stretch it out longer.

This is a serious design flaw in my mind. It must be improved to be useable. People simply cannot be expected to implement an html page in this fashion, it's embarrassing.

Come on Ning, this needs immediate attention.

  • Notepad has become my new best friend more than ever before since the HTML box is so incredibly tiny.  I now design everything in Notepad now (save) and copy/paste into the HTML box.  I certainly hope they improve it's size.....and fast since we're all designing NOW.  I wouldn't think it would take that much effort on their part (but what do I know)

    • I've always used Notepad (just installed it in Google Drive the other day), never used the Ning HTML box for anything more than dumping code into. I'm ignorant as to why the size of the box is important, but I trust the word of coders like SP who stress its importance.

      • Well for starters it's nice to be able to edit your pic size (click/drag) or layout in front of you and toggle back-and-forth between visual and HTML mode - much less trial & error.  Scrolling up/down/left/right is a joke, not to mention waste of time.

Then there's the whole having to go to the page itself and then BACK to DS for yet another page edit.  I truly hate not being able to edit HTML on a page directly.  #nightmareWasteOfTime

Do I sound cranky?  *lol*  Time for more caffeine........

        • Right! Duh! Pictures! Forgot. In fact, that was a problem for me when I began experimenting with 3.0.

Okay, well in that case, my vote is in for a bigger HTML box.

Exactly. What is the point in a What You See Is What You Get editor if you can't see it!
  • I agree with you James. It's hilariously small :) I would appreciate it if it could be full page width like Wordpress.

  • Agreed. It is unnecessarily challenging to work within the confines of that HTML box. This improvement request has been logged in our system and here on Creators.
