We are getting ready to do an email campaign, but I don't want current members to get invites if they are already members.
So, does Ning still send an invitation email to an email address even if that email address has already joined the network?
I hope they don't get invited if they are already a member. Thanks anyone or Ning for answering this.
Yes, I know we can download our member list and compare it to the invite email list, but I'm being a bit lazy.

interesting question. I tried this out with an admin account sending to an email address that was already a member and it sent a friend request instead.
is this expected behaviour?

I've given it a few goes and this is what it does, even if you're already friends with someone it pops them an invite
