On Nov 1, 2012 at 9:51am i am submited a Ticket #00860063
about the texteditor options disappearing,i got a childish reply " This is typically the result of content not fully loading on a page, which performing a hard refresh will resolve in most cases. You can perform a hard refresh on a Mac by holding down the Shift + Command + R keys or Control + F5 on a PC. "
Ning thinks that i dont know how to clear cookies..lol..
again im submited another ticket Ticket #00864104
Dear Ning,
I am writing this email to express my serious concern about the technical difficulties we have been facing in our Website for a long time. For the past few days, about 60% of our web site members are not able to post their comments in the Discussion forums and blogs. More often, the “Text Editor” is getting disappeared and the pages are getting scrolled to page top while clicking the “Reply button”. We have notified such failure incidents many times, to bring your attention but we have always received a replication reply from you stating that “there was such a problem before, but now it has been resolved”.
Apart from the afore mentioned issue, some users are not able to see the ‘user list’ in the chat room and while turning the chat option on, it takes an enormous time to lead the page. We have another issue which is not yet resolved since one year. That is, when a discussion forum crosses 100 Pages and then after above five members post their comments simultaneously; the current page is redirected to the first page even if we click their comment ID.
Kindly note that our website has been getting seriously harmed by the bugs and now the situation is worsening day by day. This is up time to fix the bugs as the prevailing problems severely affect the day to day website operation. So you are requested to take up this issues seriously and resolve them with in a decent time frame by considering the exhaustive need of the hour.
Hope you would take necessary actions soonest by stopping providing regular in built replies such as “clearing of cookies or a change of browser would fix the problems ”.
Thank you very much for understanding the importance and urgency of the matter and much appreciate and anticipate your kind cooperation in this regard,
Yours Faithfully,
Sincerely,
Ratheesh
i got the same reply again
Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue you and your members are experiencing with a missing text editor toolbar. This is typically the result of content not fully loading on a page, which performing a hard refresh will resolve in most cases. You can perform a hard refresh on a Mac by holding down the Shift + Command + R keys or Control + F5 on a PC.
now i am thinking about to put a caution banner at home page of my network http://w.suhrthu.com ,
and now im login and trying to add this discussion i can see the same problem here, see screen shot

Permalink Reply by doone on November 15, 2012 at 7:34am I also had this problem and sort of rectified it by getting rid of some 3rd party tools like Wibya and consolidating my CSS code. It also helped sometimes to refresh the page. The problem does exist but you can make it less of a problem. It does seem the more you have on the page the more frequently you do not see the editor. The Ning tips helped me at least.
Permalink Reply by Ratheesh on November 15, 2012 at 7:36am ning says use hard refresh, but how to tell this to all members ? thats shame
Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on November 15, 2012 at 8:39am This is an issue we've had reports of lately, and I'm collecting reports. I'll make sure to add your report to the mix.
I think it's unfair to call people childish. Our team was simply trying to answer your question. Not everyone knows what a hard refresh is or how to clear cookies. In fact, you just indicated that your members may not know.
Permalink Reply by Ratheesh on November 15, 2012 at 9:13am because on our site we gives importance for Computer knowledge,70% of our discussions about computer, web and mobile realated, and the another thing is ning team says to do hard refresh to me,not to members, i think all creators have the knowledge about clear cookies and refresh,
EG: Bill gates says to Zuckerberg " use Ctrl+C for copy !!! "
Permalink Reply by Ratheesh on November 15, 2012 at 9:15am i know ning team has good knowledge, but some times your supporting teams replay is contains only about clear cookies,
Permalink Reply by Ratheesh on November 18, 2012 at 7:40pm the problem now on mozilla, chrome and we cant send mail to any one,no action applied when press send button
Permalink Reply by Melinda Orr on November 29, 2012 at 5:10am I am having issues as an admin..my pages have no "options" for editing. If I go to the overall "pages" there is an edit option there. For example ~ I created a page in a group today, saved it. Went back to it to add a few points. I have no "edit options" After checking/trying a different browser (firefox), it's looking like chrome is a repeated issue. I have a few bloggers that have had issues in the last two days trying to add images etc and when moved to IE they were able to use it. I clear my cache nearly everyday to relieve quirky issues like this. Not sure what else to do at this point. www.artisanwhimsy.com
