Your thoughts Before the D-Day : - )

Hey folks, last few weeks were tough, weren't they ?

Now that the the D-Day is just a few hours away, how is everyone feeling ?

What is going inside your mind? Are you excited? or if there are goosebumps? 

What do you think would be in store for us - Opportunities or disappointments ?

Here is what i feel - 

Ning is a business, and they needed to take some tough decision. In these tough times they cant have a please all solution. So whatever they decide , will excite some, will disappoint some too, however whatever be the case - Life will go on ;-) 

For you, For me,  For Ning,  lets raise the toast for the kind of opportunity they provided, for the lessons we learned, for the life after may 4th, for the new opportunity that may come across...

I'm willing to pay the fees, unless they're astronomical for some strange reason. I just wish May 4th would hurry up and get here so I can get started!! *rubbing hands together in anticipation*

I think too many people are in a panic including members of the networks, when they don't need to be. I'm waiting to see what happens and even if we don't have to go premium, I'm planning on doing it anyhow. I don't want prices to change after I do it so that's why I'm waiting to see what happens. I have a few members in a panic because some other Network creators have been in a panic and spreaded it .

Panic many a times leads to a chain reaction which goes out of control... Good to see that you are trying to go premium !

I'm new at this (just opened a site two weeks ago), so I'm feeling a little overwhelmed after reading all the discussions. My worry is that the price will start out low and get progressively higher with nothing really great added (like cable TV!! LOL). I want the ability to lock in a price, say for a year, so that I don't get hit with increases every five minutes.

Because, do any of us believe that this won't go the way of the cable/television industry?? Price goes up=service/products go down.

Can't wait until tomorrow...

We are already paying full premium so I don't really worry about it.... what I am curious to see is the Ning 2.0 as we are in desperate need of it, since facebook is a huge competition. What we have now worked well until last year, but is definitely NOT enough anymore to keep people excited to get involved and even coming back... of course they will be few exceptions......

my concern is that all this waiting will lead to more waiting… that tomorrow the long awaited big day, will be an announcement for all those great feature who will be coming next… so we will be waiting again until the first few features comes out… than wait again for the next (or to the fixes,lol)….and we will be waiting and waiting while we are paying and paying….

I don’t want to be negative and I hope I am wrong, I really do, but this is my only concern.
We will know tomorrow…. And who knows, it’s a new Ning, so we could be nicely surprised this time...

Have you seen where you only need to pay $10 a month and if you needed some extra space for photos, etc. it was under $10 more?

I can tell you from knowing the actual pricing, vick, that this rumor you've heard is not correct. I hope that people do not believe pricing rumors because none that I've seen so far have even been close to the truth.
