Basic theme

Why are the basic themes supplied by ning just so bad............ does any know how i can design my sites to look and act like Geo Expat, or does anyone now what software that is based on ?

im not sure but that sorta looks like  its a premium plugin for wordpress i was looking into awhile ago or well more a theme with bundled plugins i forget what it was called

the ning themes are extremely customizable and u can create your own in the developer mode
=untuill you add your personal touch

if you look at most ning sitres its ghard to guess what theme they were built from

There is still a fundamental flaw with developer mode: you can't then revert to the design studio when you hand it over to a client. So you can create an entirely new theme but your client might then want to tweak it, and they have to do so in developer mode where they might not necessarily know what to do - which is the whole point of the design studio UI.
Anyway, not to be too salesy but I could recreate it for you, China.

I agree China.The basic ning themes are really not that good.

I do not like Ning ,I have found out that's some of Nings app do not work any more, I was also told by Ning that they was not going to put any money into app's I had to look else where, Please can you have a look at our website and let me know what you think, it is a new site www.b-yond.co
