I run 15 social networks. I think you need to include the ability to insert mobile ad code.  This is a good part of my revenue and without the mobile theme I get credits for ads shown. But with the mobile in place my ads are gone however if we could have a block to drop the mobile ad code it would be awesome.

We haven't removed any options for you to run ads, Baller, so I don't see how we've taken any money out of your pocket. We'll be introducing ad options for mobile before the new mobile interface is out of beta.

I have the script in my analytics and its not working with the mobile app.

Did it work in the past, Baller? We have changed nothing. If you are here to claim that we  have taken revenue from you for previously run mobile ads, you are being disingenuous. Please don't pretend that we have taken your money.

HUH????

If you read forums most are having problems with ads on the mobile application and asking when will we be able to run ads. Pretend what? The mobile ads are not running on the mobile app why say don't pretend. lol ... Your response is very weird. . I have the script in the analytic section. If this is wrong then tell me what to do.

Lol all you want, but we haven't offered any mobile ads in the past, so we haven't changed anything. Feel free to run your own ads in whatever way you want, but don't accuse us of taking away something we've never offered.

@Baller - how did you have ads on the old mobile version? You said you have the "script in my analytics". I'm guessing that's what used to be called the "tracking section", and is now "custom code"? Nothing in that ever affected the old mobile version as far as I could tell...?

The ad company I use had me add a script to see if i can run mobile ads. They said the script was successful. It wasn't until this new mobile interface that I added my custom script for my site and I do see any ads. This is why Im on here trying to figure out how to get my ads running on the mobile site because now I'm losing money with so many people visiting my site on their cell phones. Since i enabled it many people tweeted and posted in the forums how much they loved it so I can't turn it off now to make them go to the regular site.

Ah, I see. You didn't have mobile ads on the old mobile version, you had mobile ads served on the main site for people visiting on mobile devices. This new mobile version has not dramatically changed your revenue stream - you couldn't run ads on the old mobile version, and neither can you (yet) to the new mobile version. Your mobile ads only ran, and still only run, on the full site when viewed on a mobile device.

Well I have an iphone app that a lot of people used and it would direct them to the site and it didn't default to the mobile version. So by 30% of the people using this new mobile site it has dropped my revenue. I'm not the only one who has said this if you read the first page of comments a guy said his has gone down dramatically.

I thought it did always default to the mobile version, it was one of the frustrating things about it. Either way, you have a choice. If the new version increases your total traffic, keep it and hope that ads will be an option soon. The increase in interaction might be enough to offset any losses from mobile traffic. Alternatively, switch the new version off and wait. Or, you could figure out the URL to send people to that will take them to the full site no matter what device they're using and use that in your app.

FYI: If you want it to default to the web view, you can remove all of the mobile pages in the beta version. If you don't want to use the new beta, you can always just turn it off until the final ad-supported version is released.

I had ads running on the old mobile version. I had added script tags in the language editor to run Adsense mobile ads. Then the ability to add script tags, or pretty much anything useful, in the language editor was stopped, without notice or justification. Fortunately my ads still ran as long as I didn't edit that bit of language. Nothing in the tracking section affected either mobile version however.

Now, this mobile version is much better, and already gets a lot more use. How handy would it be to give us a tiny "tracking section" where we could add say up to 100 lines of code (to keep it small and fast), or one box we could add in either the footer or the header, where we could put ad code, or anything else?

I appreciate coding for mobile devices is a different skill, and harder for everyone to test across devices. However, our networks are our own (I believe still...?). Plus we can use our members as testers, many of us already do!

I sincerely hope the "ad options" will be flexible enough to run whatever ads we need - I have a completely custom ad serving system nowadays, and I know our select advertisers will want to see their ads on the mobile version.

We also need to be able to add other code, for things ranging from alternate tracking services to pointing out how to "add to homescreen".

The new mobile interface is great, keep up the good work.
