Good day guys,
I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this already but when a user clicks on a group link it currently goes to the Comments section first when it should go to the Discussion sections first.
P.S. Is there anyway to further emphasize the group discussion titles to where they stand out a bit more for the other text and links? The discussion titles look the same as the links and I find it a bit confusing on which specific section to click on to view the discussion itself.
..I love the new layout but is there a way to prevent member lists from showing up on group pages? Or at the very least require someone to be signed in to see a member list? Would love to be able to have this control on the site as well..
No plans for that type of change. You may want to make your groups private if you don't want them appearing. It's worth noting that members currently show up on group pages on your regular site. So, I'm not sure what the rationale might be to take that away from the mobile site.
Firstly I must say I wasn't sure that the mobile version would even be worth turning on after seeing the really ugly version for so long... Now in saying all this, I turned on Mobile today at it is fantastic!! Really well done, it is sensational.
A quick question, can you actually load photo's from you mobile? My network are crazy pet loving mobile photo taking & sharing people, it would be great to be able to load photo's from a smart phone.
Thanks again and well done.
Ryan, you can upload photos if your device supports that capability. The upcoming iPhone iOS release this fall will allow for that for iPhones. Some phones already allow that.
Great update adding groups!
Here are some details that would be best for my network, I'd like to know if somehow could be implemented:
1) "My Groups" should be an item at the main menu.
2) Is there a way to hide the description at the list of "My Groups" and/or list of "Groups"?
3) I use a 500x500 pixels image in each group description text, then when I tap "description" inside a group, half of it is displayed as it doesn't fit to screen, see the pictures below of a group. I have more than 600 groups using that format and I won't be able to change them not only due to the high amount but also that it would affect other things in my network. Is there a way to make the images in the description text of a group to be displayed to fit the screen?
5) For the normal desktop view of my network, at the "My Groups" page I made a complete redesign using CSS so I got the result of the image below. For the mobile, is there a possibility to customize the design with CSS? My main intention would be to customize the "My Groups" mobile page similar to the left bigger column of this picture that is my desktop view of "My Groups":
Thanks for your feedback. We are working on 1 & 3 at the moment and should be able to make them available soon. We aren't planning on making location and site available in the description right now but we can do so if NCs feel it's important. There isn't a way to hide the descriptions, no, and likewise, we don't provide the ability to customize mobile css right now; we might do that in the future for some plans, but it's not something we're currently working on.
Phil, that's great on #1. Having a "My Groups" link will be swell.
In the mobile main menu would be fine, as Alessandro suggests. But for me it'd be fine to be on the Groups page.
