I will try making them all xml and see what happens. I have verified cigarfederation.com and by subdomain sitemap.cigarfederation.com in google webmaster tools. 

In google webmaster tools it is weird. It shows that i have 2,999 pages indexed under the dashboard tab but when I look at health > index status it shows 0. I am wondering why this is happening.

So my previous question was a little confusion. Basically, I have cigarfederation.com being used as a custom domain for ning.cigarfederation.com. I went to go daddy and am now hosting cigarfederation there. I am worried that if i published the hosting http://sitemap.cigarfederation.com/ you can see that it isn't live, that it will mess up cigarfederation. Hard to explain what I mean, but how can I know if Google is actually indexing my site since my search traffic doesn't seem to be changing?

Also, another random question. Do you write meta tags for the content on your site? Right now cigarfederation.com is just using the tags feature which I think doesn't really do anything at all.

So I am using Ispyder and uploaded a new xml sitemap http://sitemap.cigarfederation.com/sitemap11.xml

but take a look at it. When you go to the link it looks so odd and doesn't seem to actually index at all.
