I am trying to find a way to bring this Creator program into my site Toptentogo, I am burnt out on Political Issues and I kind of wish to see ideas, money making ideas that are honest...
I am fairly confident I wasn't violating the terms of service, nor the spirit of the community. I did read all the community guidelines carefully.
What matters to me is how you in particular perceived it, and bringing that impression to my attention helped me look at it more objectively. It was a little bit on the experimental side. I did say welcome to ning creators and enjoy networking, but instead of a graphic I used some social media, and presented a link to a discussion with some tips and an invitation to introduce themselves/ talk about their networks on my new creator social media group. The video "A more beautiful web is..." pertains to the article, and "my online social media environment" refers to inspiring creators to look at their networks with the same excitement communicated in the video. So it was my way of inviting new Ning Creators to make a more beautiful web together.
There are other dynamics to it such as how it appears in the e-mail notification, and the link description coincides to my group discussion addressed as a "morning koan"- which is consistent with my branding as a social media ninja, the group as a dojo, and the way that I used the whole thing together as a little inspirational meditation... along the same lines as the graphic greetings you leave but definitely different.
However, I took your comment into serious consideration and stopped that kind of greeting. Now, as I'm sure you'll see, I'm still greeting people, but I cut out any ambiguity, and I don't think there is any question that it's appropriate. Thank you!!! I've gotten much better response and have enjoyed networking with many more members as a result!
Also, I have looked into your network before. So if you are interested, I would love to do an interview about you and your Ning on my group too if you like.
