Is there a workaround so the results stay on the same new page (and not go to the adv. search).

 

Or just use the advance search and modify for couch surfing?

Hey Safire! This is really awesome. As a serious user of couchsurfing.org, it's really impressive what you've done here. Thanks so much for sharing! 

One tool I'd encourage you to check out is Firebug. I'm not a computer sciencist by training, but it allows to me to easily examine the HTML/CSS of any page I'm looking at. And it makes tasks like copying the HTML from a particular part of the page a total breeze:
