We are really happy to present a new integration option that can give you all the tools you need to build your best e-mail campaigns automations ever. Now, every Ning network creator can discover numerous benefits of MailChimp integration on Ning 3.0 platform!

This is a powerful resource that allows you to set up e-mail campaigns for different groups of users and involve them into your network activity.

Once you integrate your MailChimp account with your Ning network, you can manage three automated lists that will contain sorted e-mails of your network members: new, active, and inactive. These lists will update regularly on an immediate and daily basis.

The instruction on how to integrate the MailChimp account to your Ning network and how to create your first automated campaign is available here.

We will continue to improve this useful tool, that is why we are planning to add some more automated lists. We would appreciate if you vote for the lists that you need the most.

Actually, you are not, https://creators.ning.com/announcements-from-ning/overview-of-q3-an... you may see from our Q4 plan that we continue working on migration script in this quarter as well, no worries we do remember about creators from 2.0 who wish to migrate their network on 3.0 and we don't want to let you down. I guess I have mentioned this already, but one of our best developers is working on this task, and he is taking this really serious.

OK one question: I am already using Mailchimp to communicate with the members of my community.

I have a list of 1300 users which I used to export and update on a weekly basis. Now Would it be possible to use the integration without loosing info of my existing list?
On this list I have some more information which might be usefull of the members such as location, web address....  and also I have the data from the last campaigns I sent.

If it is not possible to merge the automatic list created by the integration I should erase my existing list (otherwise I would have duplicate subscribers incrementing the cost of mailchimp)

If you integrate the MailChimp it will create the new lists and the old one won't be affected.

I have some questions regarding the lists you have suggested (by the way thanks for the suggestions):

Regarding #1 you have suggested, at some point the list #3 that we have as the default one fit your needs as it shows the members who have logged in last time on your network from 30 to 60 days ago unless you wish to see the list of members who are in suspended status. Please let me know if it so.

Regarding #10, one of our default lists generate the list of people how have visited your network during last 30 days, would this fit your needs or you wish to have the list of people who have made the second sign in after registration (so basically the registration is the first sign in)?

What about Ning 2.0 users? Will we get the Mailchimp integration?

Hi there!

Regarding Ning 2.0, unfortunately, the 2.0 uses pretty old technologies and implementation of such functionality like MailChimp integration would take a fortune of dev time, most of which would be spent on research. Like the management has mentioned, probably it would be done later, however, it's not our top priority for the moment.

Yes and no. I do remember you have chosen the number three on the test discussion, however it was only available for admins to vote there. So if you click the number three and submit your vote it would be highly appreciated. And as I have used the default functionality once you have voted you'll see the results for each category and won't be able to vote anymore.

P.S. If the instruction is needed how you can do the same with your polls just let me know, I'll create the post here on creators, I'm just not sure it would be useful for everybody and that is only one thing which stops me from posting the tip :-)
