Network Accessibility Update II

It appears Tuesday’s changes had a positive impact on system availability and a significant reduction in 500 error’s.  From here on out, we'll be cleaning out the backlog of reported bugs.  Once caught up, we will address missing functionality in Ning 3.0, release new features, and restart the Ning 2.0 to Ning 3.0 migration process.  Please stay tuned for further updates!

  • Speaking about accessibility, my site hasn't sent email notifications since Friday, can't send broadcast messages and can't download member lists. Ning support said it's the entire Ning network, so I'm surprised this isn't a topic of discussion here. 

    Is anyone's site sending email notifications?


    • Hey Steve, there was a known issue with email notifications and messages that should now be resolved. If you're still experiencing this, let us know by submitting a ticket. Thanks!

      • I've been reporting problems with my broadcast messages failing to reach all members for a couple of years now. The new broom promised to sort it out, but nothing has changed so far. The latest message was:

        Thank you for contacting us. I've forwarded message issue on your network to our engineering team and they are investigating the error. I'll follow up with you once heard anything from the team.

  • Yes! The Music, Chat, and Paid Acces is so important for Ning 3 as a social Network.

    • Yes! Those are all top requested features that we are looking to roll out before migrations are available again!

  • That would be awesome! I've been waiting for 2 years to make the switch to 3.0 but can't until the Events" and "Calendar" features are working. My $60 a month website depends on those 2 Ning features. Glad you are finally making this a reality.
