Servers maintenance

Hi there!

As I have promised in the previous announcement there would be scheduled maintenance due to server renovation.

We are planning to start on Thursday 14-th of September 7 am UTC and the works would last for 2 hours. Please note that networks won't be accessible at that period of time.

We do apologize for the temporary inconveniences.

Best regards,
Ning Team.

          • Hi

We're still having the problem where people are directed to 'this page was not found'.

Please let me know when this will be fixed. It's extremely frustrating, and we look very unprofessional!

            Thanks

            Trish

            • Hi Trish,

Thanks for the clarification regarding the removal of the post mentioned in the email. The issue has been reported to the tech team and when the fix would be ready I'll inform you about it. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide with ETA at the moment as the source of the issue hasn't been located yet.

              Apologies for any inconveniences.

              Best regards,

              Ning Team.

      • Hi Kyryl,

If you think the slow loading is caused by the activity feed, why you guys don't turn off this feature until you release the fix? I would prefer to have a fast site than to have the activity feed. BTW, I turned off activity feed on my Network and still have the slow loading issues, so not sure this is the cause.

        Best,
        Andrei

        • HI, Andrei.

Unfortunately, there is no difference whether the activity is turned off on your side as the items for it would be created anyways, otherwise, if you decide to turn it on there would be no information regarding recent activity on your network, which is not good anyways. Turn off the activity could cause additional issues as during the turn-on process there are higher chances that something would go wrong. Apologies for any inconveniences.

          Best regards,

          Ning Team.

        • Andrei - perhaps YOU should turn off your activity feed on your site controls page. It's an option... if I lose MY activity feed, my members are going to be really upset - they depend on it.

          • I did and it doesn't fixed anything.

            Andrei

            • Well, I wasn't sure I was believing the post from Ning, but it was worth suggesting. We're not having the same issues you are, however. We have other issues. (all reported), but the slowness has gone away for us. go figure. :)

  • mail messages are certainly SLOOOOOOOOOOOW....sending messages you get the "sending" box that never goes away thought if you refresh and check Sent you see the message went through. www.navydads.ning.com

    • Hi, Paul!

I do apologize for this inconvenience, your network was added to the report that has been created before. Our tech team would try their best to fix it as soon as possible, as you may have seen from the replies I have made already it has the highest priority for the moment.

      Thanks for your patience.

      Best regards,

      Ning Team.
