What are the Advantages/Disadvantages of 3rd Party Facebook Integration on a Ning 3.0 website. I see that it's available and I've found an extended set of instructions on how to set it up here in the forums, but I'm not finding any examples of how it does what it does, what additional features it provides, or what are the potential problems it may cause.
Any insight or examples would be appreciated.

I used this once some time ago to test it but to be honest in my opinion it can cause more hassle than it's worth. I expect others have no trouble and like the intergration but I found it slowed the site down as trying to connect to facebook can sometimes be hit n miss. I would rather just keep everything within the network as you have more control over it. Even when they added the new toolbar of buttons to share to facebook, twitter and like etc at the top of pages had a dramatic effect on the loading of pages as it was always waiting for Facebook to connect.
Anyway that is just my opinion and of not other NC's
