FORUM

Hi!

Recently at one of those late-night talks, me and my friends finally understood what kind of community we'd like to be build: a completely text-based one. The idea is that it's a community where you can't upload video, images or any kind of visual material at all - in the best of worlds you wouldn't even have an avatar. Instead, the focus is: Text. Poetry, writing, text-roleplaying.

I wanted to ask you more experienced ning-builder folks: Could this be accomplished via this platform? And if not this one, any tip on where?

  • I think you can do this in Ning, but for something like this I use Muut (see those foruns:Les Cheet Ahmen , Rappad and Apologética Católica).

The complete discussion system for your site
Forums, commenting and messaging right on your site. Unlimited posts, users and traffic, for free.
    • Looks interesting! But can you remove the users' avatars? It seems like that's a standard feature, on Ning as well. I wouldn't mind if I could just make my users choose from a preset gallery of, like, elaborate initials. But it seems like maybe they got rid of this feature?

      • I do not know if you can remove the avatars. Ask here: https://muut.com/forum/

  • Off topic: Why, when posting a link here, does a preview of the site appear below? This is very boring.
