I was finding the placement of the About/Join box inside groups to be difficult for members to find if they were new to the community. So I decided to move mine above the banner box with a single line of code added to the Custom Code Bottom section. Simply add the following code and your About/Join module will move to the top on all groups.
<script>
{x$('div.grid-frame.sheet.section-aboutGroup').insertBefore('div.banner-frame');
}
</script>
I find that group pages with a About/Join section which shows ONLY TO NONMEMBERS is best because it disappears after they Follow the Group.
Let me know if you have any questions and if you need help with your community, by all means reach out to me. Happy to help!

I would like to move the "follow box" for groups from below all the comments (point A) to just under the comment wall (point B).
Ok give this a go. You may need to change the part which says .page-groups to whatever you named your group hub. If you named it groups then leave as it is otherwise if you changed it to let's say hubs then you would change it to .page-hubs
The code goes in your Social Site Manager > Custom Code > End Of Page Code
<script>
x$(document).ready(function() {
x$('.page-groups .commentWallSection .row').insertAfter('.commentForm .input-full');
});
</script>
That did not do it. 8o(
I tried it before and after the text that is already in the "End of Page Code" box. It is so sad that Ning did not make the location of the follow box consistant with other modules in the network.
do you have a link to your site so I can check the code for your site ?
Sure. It is a private site. If you need to register, use the code FINAL

I see what the issue is, when you enable html the class name is different, here is updated code so it will move the follow button for either setting.
<script>
x$(document).ready(function() {
x$('.page-groups .commentWallSection .row').insertAfter('.commentForm .input-full');
x$('.page-groups .commentWallSection .row').insertAfter('.commentForm .ultracompact-editor');
});
</script>
You did it! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You deserve a big gold star. 8o)
