Some of you were concerned about the suspension of the Instagram integration feature, so we have prepared a workaround that will help you embed the Instagram feed into your network. This can be done via a 3rd party tool.
In this example, we will be reviewing the RSS.app tool, but there are other services you can use for this purpose.
RSS.app has multiple subscription levels with different restrictions. However, their free plan should be enough for you to get started.
So how does it work?
1. Go to the RSS.app website and register a free profile.
2. Go to https://rss.app/rss-feed/create-instagram-rss-feed, insert the link to your Instagram profile in the field, and click the "Generate" button.
3. You can now use the RSS and "Embed" features.
The RSS feature
1. Copy the RSS feed link
2. Go to your NING admin panel > Activity Feed Settings and add the RSS link to your social feeds.
As a result, posts from your Instagram account will be automatically displayed in the activity feed of your network.
Note: Alternatively, you can use the link to configure an RSS feed widget on any page of your network.
The "Embed" feature
There are four available types of feed layouts. You can choose any of them you like.
1. Copy the embed code.
2. Paste the code into any HTML-based widget on any page of your network.
We hope this was helpful. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns!
Sincerely,
Your NING team
