KENDAL AUDIO VIZUAL EXPERIENCE Calling for Local Talent- Are you aged between 13-19, Are you from, or, based in Cumbria? Here is the opportunity to showcase your talent by having your films screened or have your band play live to an audience and media professionals. KAVE is a 2 day festival which will be held on the 29th and 30th of March 2010, in Kendal, at the Brewery Arts Centre. The purpose of KAVE is to allow 13-19 year olds to showcase their short films and perform their music on stage and enable young people to meet with Media Professionals and ask questions as to how the Professionals got to where they are now. The 29th of March will give the opportunity to young people to meet the Media Professionals who will will answer questions, give a presentation and/or conduct a workshop. The evening of the 30th of March will be when 13-19 year olds will show their films and also perform their music on stage. Media Professionals will be asked to watch the films and music being performed and chat with the young people involved and give them feedback, advice and encouragement. We would like to hear from you if- you are a band or a solo artist who plays your own original music. you have been involved in the creative process of making a short film. you would like to come to any presentations and/or workshops by known media professionals. you would like to get involved in a VJ campaign which Simon will be heading. you are interested in coming to the festival. We will then get back to you, if you are selected, as soon as possible.
