Investigating Ning as a potential platform for a network of older people in the London Borough of Hackney. The main purpose of the network is combatting social isolation -- so organising real world events is a key objective. Currently working for Age Concern Hackney (London, UK) on 'Hackney Silver Surfers' ( http://lawns.org.uk/ ) -- a very successful digital incluson project now struggling under inadequate recession funding.
