I created a Ning for my daughter's pre-school class parents, and we're looking at expanding it to include all the parents in the whole school. I'm still in the process of moving the Board from thinking about a Web presence in terms of the old Web site managed by a Webmaster (the school calendar is a pdf of the 2008 calendar) to a site whose value comes, in part, from user-generated content, and which can be managed by a non-techie like me.
