I created a Ning network for parent to parent support of children with a rare birth defect called a laryngeal cleft. This causes swallowing difficulties leading to a host of other medical issues. There isn't a lot of information on the net about this birth defect so that is why I started the group. My daughter was born with this defect and had it successfully surgically repaired in July 2008.
