What's your role? Network Creator (NC) or Admin?

OK... I'm a consultant, and I sign people up for Ning networks. THEY pay for them so they want their name and email associated with the account, but they haven't the foggiest clue what to DO with the account or the control of the account. When I USE their account to ask questions, they get odd emails they didn't ask for. When I sign up for a Ning Creator account, I've been refused connection because my email isn't in the database. My thought is that folks in my position are of value to Ning... but honestly, it isn't feeling that way right now. Isn't it ironic that a Social Networking infrastructure whose very existence is dependent on fostering relationship can alienate and make those who are it's biggest fans and proponents unable to find access to facilitate the people we're leading to you?
