Updates to Pages Part One

Today we’re releasing the first round of updates to the way Pages work in your network. We know that Pages are an important way for many of you to add custom content to your network, and these changes are designed to increase the options you have for customization.

One longstanding request has been the ability to hide the sidebar on a Page and make use of the full width of the page. That will now be easy to do with a checkbox during page creation or editing.

We’ve also added the ability to restrict the visibility of individual Pages. On public networks, you can choose to make a Page available to everyone, signed in members, or administrators only. On private networks, you can make a Page available to members or administrators. If you’ve created a tab for the page, the privacy settings will be synchronized, so a change made to the privacy of a tab will also be applied to the page it links to and vice versa.

We’ve got more changes coming to Pages, including the ability to manage the title tags and meta description of a Page manually for SEO, customization of urls, and direct access to add javascript, css and meta tags into the <head> tag, so stay tuned.

  I can't view them myself, half of my membership is having issues with hovering over a Main Tab, and the drop down sub tabs won't drop down.

  Nothing in this release effected the subtabs, so I'd suggest clearing your browser cache to see if that helps. If not, you can always create a support ticket.

Hi,

Love the hide sidebar feature but non admins should not be able to do this, which they currently can! if you run ads in the right hand bar then this function basically gives them the option to turn them off. Not good.
