I was having the same issue along with many other, I too posted a blog "How to delete a site" for I have a couple dozen and Ning is really starting to get on my nerves. Come August I may only have a 1/2 dozen remaining with Ning if things don't turn around. I have found that Grouply is a good alternative for some things, but not all. Ning is still among the top platforms, but they are declining fast.
