My aunt's name is Penny, and she's done a lot of work on the cookbooks, and you'll probably find her name in there in whatever edition you have. A lot of the photos are actually taken at her house on Lake Cayuga. If you have the chance, you should definitely visit the restaurant — it's a great experience, and I love downtown Ithaca. There aren't many places like it.
If/when I head back to the head back to the Hudson, I'll definitely check out the wine trail (especially if it's summer). And tell Debbie to keep up the good work :)
I took a peek at your Ning Network, and it's pretty cool! My aunt runs Moosewood restaurant in Ithaca, not TOO far away from the Hudson Valley, so I've spent a lot of time with upstate foodies. I also got the chance to visit the Benmarl Winery last year, which was fantastic. Really glad to see someone is putting Ning to use in the area!
