Overview of Q3 and Ning Q4 2017 plan.

Better late than never - here is the product plan Q3 overview and Plans for Q4.
As you might have noticed, all the promised features have been released. We did our best to keep the deadlines and fit your expectations.
So here are Q3 updates:

1. Paid Access is finally live. It is even more than just old Paid Access, it is a great e-commerce platform with Stripe and PayPal integration. For now it is only available for beta-group, so if you forgot to ask for beta access, don’t miss your chance till Nov 3d.
2. Audio feature is live. Now you can easily create playlists, audio lessons, add audio tracks, podcasts, and any mp3 files. The feature has got a completely new design, which we think looks awesome.
3. Polls. Completely new feature for Ning, only available for Ning 3.0. Using Polls all Ning NCs can easily get up to date feedback from Network members.
4. The Design Studio got a few new templates, a bunch of new fonts and backgrounds to make it more user-friendly and provide flexibility of options you have in order to make your network modern and unique even without coding skills.
5. SSL certification had been implemented for all ning domain names.

Keeping in mind that we are living in the era of mobile devices all new features have been developed in a way so they would look great on mobile devices.

You could not miss how the Creators network changed, which is completely Kyryl’s merit, as is the new guide for Facebook integration.

And now as for the next steps, we are going to make:

1. Member ranking system
2. E-commerce platform wider development (donations, network membership, groups)
3. MailChimp Integration
4. SSL for custom domains, completely automated process.
5. Push notifications

Besides, there are lots of other improvements on the way, more related to back end, like the rework of the activity feed architecture and migration script (these are just the biggest ones so we simply can't help but highlight them).

As always we are happy to receive feedback from you, so feel free to drop us a line.

Sincerely yours,
Ning Team.

                • Hello!

Thank you for screenshots, and do not worry, your accounts are safe :)

According to the screenshots, the CSS file cannot be displayed because it is being loaded over http -

We are not sure why its happening, and so far we can offer the following solutions:

                  1) Please try clearing your cache/cookies or try opening the site on the different device.

                  2) If that doesn't help you can wrap your code for like button and search bar into <style> and put it to the <Head> code section as a temporary solution.

Also, please provide us with versions of the browsers where you can reproduce the issue.

                  Looking forward to your reply!

                  Best regards,

                  The NING Team

                  • It seems to have been fixed, Anastasia. Thank you for your kind help.

                    • Hello!

I am glad to hear it! You are welcome :)

                      Best regards,

                      The NING Team

                  • Hi Anastasia,

I only have one other device which is an old Windows 7 phone (yep, I know) and the code works fine there - Like is written and there is no search box. I use Google Chrome browser.  The code works in Firefox I see now from checking, but I like to use Google Chrome, so if it is possible to fix there, that would be great. I am not a coder, I only used code given to me by fellow Creators on here some years ago, so I don't know what that means - ''wrap your code into <style>''.

                    Thanks for your help!

    • Hello!

I am sorry, I cannot provide you with an answer right away, but I am going to ask my colleague to take a look on your site and tomorrow I will provide you with an update.

I apologize for keeping you waiting.

      Bets regards,

      The NING team

  • I am getting this - for my own site and for this site. I clicked on advanced and came here anywhere - it says it is not secure

    • Hello!

Unfortunately, we had a massive issue with security certificates, that affected lots of networks, including yours and creators. But as of now, it is already fixed, I apologize for temporary inconveniences.

      Best regards,

      The NING Team

      • Thanks Anastasia

  • Bug Report (?)

In Design Studio for past 4 years I have had titles of modules (on front page) aligned to Middle.

Today all titles of all modules on my home page are aligned to Left.

I look in  Design Studio to realign, in case it happened by mistake, though I have not been in Design Studio for many months now - and it says they are aligned to Middle. I change and change back just to make sure, but even though It says aligned to middle the titles are aligned to left.

I don't like how it looks. It must be a bug on your end? Can you see if it is? Thank you.

    • Hello!

      Thank you for your patience!

The issue with title alignment has been fixed, please check your network and let us know if you still have any issues.

      Best regards,

      The NING Team
