Today Ning 3.0 networks have some brand new commenting options. We've taken the existing simple commenting system option and renamed it to "Flat", and we've added two new commenting types: "Standard" and "Threaded". "Threaded" is a 10 level deep, visually threaded model that should be familiar to NCs; it's very similar to the mechanism that we're using here on Creators and that you may know and love from Ning 2.0. "Standard" is hybrid two-level threaded system that allows for individual replies but keeps comments and their replies within two visual levels. Standard is designed to be easier to follow, especially on mobile devices. Where there's not enough space for Threaded replies to be readable, such as in a narrow column or on a mobile phone, Threaded comments will revert to the same look as Standard. You can order both Threaded and Standard comments to show the oldest replies on top, or the newest, just like you can with Flat.
Here's a help center article that explains the changes.
We've also introduced a control that allows you to specify whether or not members can edit comments after they've made them. You can open it up so that members can edit a comment any time, or you can restrict them to editing within a 15 minute window. You can also choose to make comments un-editable by members. It's worth pointing out that Admins on the network can always edit or delete a comment.
Also, with this update we've changed the way smaller images are displayed on networks; we're no longer enlarging them and instead we're displaying them at their natural size. Many of you let us know you'd like to see that happen via this thread; thank you!

any ideas on timeline for Language editor?
2014
Phil, we need the number of pages in the comments section and a link to each comment.
At least we need a link to the last page.
SE *lol*
ok yikes im having huge issues with this
all comment text is centered unless i manualy click left justified on each reply
wich is only possible on flat because the text editor wont load on any other style
i like it though none of the options are really what id like i still think the quote options important.. though i could potentialy live with standard i really prefer the reply quoted ioption
but this is really buggy
screenshots
notice :
this happens in standard and threaded
in flat view:
cache was cleared ..twice hard refreshes performed browser restarted
and i dug in deep to the code (css and html) and cannot find a cause
tested in multiple browsers as well
edit:
this is only happening in groups aparantly
standards working fine everywhere else
corection the centering issues all over the site the text editor not loading is group only
buggy buggy buggy but still well done
Could this be it?
i found it
it may have been part of georges 100% width code
maybe
but dont think that explains the text editors not loadinjg
it was this
.section-primaryContent>div:nth-child(1)>DIV.row, {text-align:center;}
im not even sure why thast was there
but still no text editor
