  • Nings platform somehow is pointing one of my paywall forms to a different paywall and it has been over 10 days and I get zero support from the entire support team. Who can I speak with to get this resolved as it is holding me up from launching my site? I am extremely frustrated and ready to bail on Ning and find another platform. the URL is http://electricalsuccess.net. Take a look at my support ticket and you will see the ridiculous replies I have been given and zero support.

      I think this situation needs some explanation. First of all, I do apologize for the Anna who has given you the wrong reply. Let's clarify few things, first of all, there is no way to obtain the link to the paywall. The link is different for each member of the network and getting formed dynamically, there is a special token which is determining who has clicked on the button subscribe and the is no way to get that token before the button "Subscribe" has been clicked. That means that the links you have used will make the service paid for the certain user, and the user who is paying won't get access anyway. So the approach you are trying to use is not going to work.

      Then when I clicked the button related to the bronze subscription I have been redirected to the silver paywall. So far as I see the test forum has been created in order to attach the paywall to it, and the wrong paywall has been attached to it, that is why you are getting Silver paywall when you are clicking that button. Everything that you should do is to attach the bronze paywall to some test forum or blog post and use the profile of the network member to grab the link, but as I have mentioned before the approach you are using is not going to work the way you suppose to.

      Possible solution:

      You can create 4 let's say blog posts in a separate instance which doesn't have a link in navigation tab, and attach appropriate paywalls to them. Then you can place those links under the images you have in tab container, however, your users would have to click the button that you have created and then the button that would be generated by the service so the whole process would be a bit inconvenient and probably be confusing for somebody.

      • Sorry, but I am gone. I created a Bronze paywall and YOUR system or other staff pointed it to a Silver paywall sign up page, something I could do if I wanted to.

        After 3 weeks I could not get a simple fix or even a suggestion to delete the paywall and start another! You didn't even give me a solution to the problem. just agreed that it was pointing to the wrong paywall. 

         
        I gave your support team 3 weeks to give me a solution and they failed to do so, therefore, I will never trust my business with such low-quality support.
         
        I already canceled my account and the entire reason is the support staff's inability to give me any support or direction whatsoever. They knew my problem and gave absolutely ZERO support.

          As far as I have seen from the ticket that you have opened related to this issue, you have been told that there is no way to get the link to the paywall since there is a special token is transferred in it in order to determine who is purchasing the paywall. Unfortunately, we are not able to rework the functionality as it would require a complete rebuild of the paid access from the scratch. I do agree that the whole confusion has started from Anna's reply where she has admitted that it's the issue and could be fixed when it's the system simply works that way. I do apologize for this and has already taken all the necessary actions in order to prevent this from happening in the future.

  • Instead can we allow our group creators to monitize themself for their own earning of their own traffice created by using the group html and inserting their own add code? Since i am not really looking for earning out of my member generated traffic. Since my earning mode will be via paid sponsors for site. thanks!

      Sorry, there is no way to make this process completely automatic using our platform. However, if you wish and if you have time, you can collect the money each time for the membership in groups and transfer the earnings to the accounts of the group creators. Only in such way, something that you are asking about could be done.

  • Hola, se me ha ocurrido una idea ¿Se puede poner un tiempo para que las personas vean un grupo abierto y después de ese tiempo se cierre? Ejemplo: 10 minutos acceden directamente sin que aparezca el botón de suscripción y después aparece el botón y se tienen que suscribir

      There is a possibility to create a trial package with the minimum duration of one hour. At the end of the trial period, the member would be redirected to the payment page with the offer to purchase one of the paid packages. the trial could be used by the member only once per paywall.

      • Kyryl just an observer here but depending on the site, I think one or two "minutes" would be far more desirable over one "hour".  I can imagine the stolen data............and I cringe.  I'd prefer to give them a moment or two to browse and be enticed then the sign-up warning pop up.  Again, all depends on what's inside the Group or forum.

          Several minutes could be a really short period to check the content of the group, stolen data always would be an issue, if it could be resold the absence of the trial period also won't be an issue for the criminals. So such a short period would in most cases be causing only inconveniences for the genuine users of your network, that's why one hour has been chosen as the minimum period available, however, we still think that it's too short.
