Current status of the Ning Platform is always available on the Ning Status Blog.

Facebook has a really cool new tool that just recently came out. You can embed your Facebook Fan Page posts to your website. This also has a nice big "Like Page" action button on it along with "like", "comment", and "share".

JFarrow came out with a post to make this work on Ning but it fell short of... well, actually working.

Can anybody figure out a way to get this to work on Ning 2.0?

I believe this would be an awesome benefit for our sites!

    Hi Scott,

As far as I know Embeded Facebook doesn't work on Ning2. However, it does work on page something like this.

    • Hi Bernard, You lost me on that one. I went to your "this" link and didn't see what you were talking about. :~

Well Scott, sometimes embeded code doesn't load and you have to hit the refresh button.

I'm taking about this embeded facebook

        • Okay, now I see it and btw, I did have to refresh.

So is this a created page?

            • Bernard,

There's a small discussion going on over on JFarrows post. Today he figured out how to do it but I believe he's using Ning 3.0. (I don't know if it has anything to do with it)

I'm 2.0 and it doesn't work for me.

              Check the post here

Yes Scott, this kinda code doesn't work on Ning2 platform. I'm sorry I can't help you.

you may want to rephrase your post

JFarrow came out with a post to make this work on Ning but it fell short of... well, actually working.

It does work, just hasn't worked for you...ON NING 2.0.  I wouldn't have posted it if it didn't work, bro.  But it appears you and Bernard are both right... does not work on 2.0... all the more reason to move 3.0

    • Well so far this is the only reason I'd want 3.0 but it seems to me that Ning has some sort of restriction on the 2.0 that they could fix for this issue. Are you reading this Ning?

i'd bet dollars to donuts that Ning is doing nothing more to the 2.0 networks.
