Has Anyone Ever Built an Application using the Ning API

I am trying to find just one working example of an app or utility that runs with the Ning API.

No matter what I do, I cannot seem to connect to the API for my community.  I am trying to build a tool but the authentication breaks.

Just setting up a network and wondering how I can get the links that new mmebers fill out on their profile for their wwebsite to pen in a new tab? 

There is no option to make that universal command in the Members settings area.
