Hello NCs,

I have a code installed at the very top of the page in  an IFRAME here:
http://www.glam-express.com/page/tester-halloween-page

*Note, this is how the bottom code is also supposed to be displayed, note the tabs at the top.*

BELOW this iframe i have the same code but it's not in the iframe this time and the css and javascript external sources are linked in the CUSTOM CODE box as:

*************************************************************************************
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://cdn.glam-express.com/cdn/2018HalloweenFullWidthTabs/css/component.css">

<script src="http://cdn.glam-express.com/cdn/2018HalloweenFullWidthTabs/js/cbpFWTabs.js"></script>

<script type="text/javascript">
new CBPFWTabs( document.getElementById( "tabs" ) );
</script>
*************************************************************************************

For some reason the CSS got applied but NOT the javascript (text in bold above). The tabs aren't being displayed correctly.

Is there any way you can help me?
I know this is a very simple fix and I probably just typed in something incorrect in the custom code but I can't seem to wrap my head around what I'm doing wrong.

Appreciate any help/suggestions.

Thanks.
Mandy

  • I wonder if you remove the iframe, if any other type of code would display as a test?

    • Hi Amber. Yes I'm trying to display the code without the iframe just having a few display issues probably due to the source files. Appreciate the reply.

      • If your site is https and the file you are trying to embed is not, https cannot embed http as the browser tends to reject it. therefore the iframe would display an about:blank page.

        Having said that, there is a way to make the iframe invisible. Add CSS styling with display:none !important tags in your code. This should make the javascript work invisibly if that's what you want.

        • Hi Amber.

          Thanks for the reply again ;)

          Although I appreciate your reply I am trying to GET RID of the iframe altogether and have the actual code under the html part and external sources (css + javascript) in the custom code box.

          Linking the external souces correctly is what I need help with.

          Thanks.

          • So what happens if you don't iframe it. Does it just not show up at all where you want it to?

            • Yes, it displays a bit differently that's all. Appreciate your time and help again.

  • Hello Mandy, nice to see you again.

    I believe you can just remove the word "new" frome the bottom code.. :) Let me know if it doesn't work..

    <script type="text/javascript">
    CBPFWTabs( document.getElementById( "tabs" ) );
    </script>

        • Hello George,

          Wow thanks for all of the recommendation; they are very much appreciated!!!

          I've tried all of them but unforunately no luck =/

          Although I think you're right, I have an inkling it has to do with this line of code:

          <script type="text/javascript">
          CBPFWTabs( document.getElementById( "tabs" ) );
          </script>

          This is exactly how it's written in the index.html file which is working via the iframe.

          I think the custom code doesn't like how it's written or formatted.

          I'll keep trying....thanks again.
