"I agree, if they will treat us like this on 2.0 they will do the same on 3.0.  I use Wordpress as it is a powerful and adaptive platform but I am confortable with maintaining my own site.  I hope you find something you are comfortable with.

"Sorry to see that you have had the same thing happen to your site.  I guess it just reinforces my thought that Ning is a bad option if you want any control of your content. Would you believe that Ning insisted the problem was on my end?

"You make an excellent point, and to back up content we must do it manually.  I can't begin to assume why Ning chooses to have such complete control over the labor of their clients but it certainly isn't a good model for any business owner to work…"

I think you are a wonderful and good person you have to be objective doesn't it seem ABSURD to you that you pay for a service and you have to protect yourself by buying that stuff?"

  • I feel like giving a gift, because I care today and every day I am there to you and to all, I am happy knowing you are a good friend to have and for me it is good to be loved. You matter :)
  • Thank you for still being my friend here and for being a great person to have around, I appreciate and welcome you for all you are and so much more. Happy latest holiday, I'll keep you in my thoughts.
  • Happy thanks giving to you my friend. I hope all is well. I am thinking of you. Blessings, Elshara.
  • "It grows on you..."   "...is it like a fungus?"...   LOL!  That's exactly what occurred to me too!  You cracked me up.

There must be an ointment for that.   ;D

  • Hey Cindy!

I didn't mean for you to delete your comments, I simply suggested several options that would facilitate the kind of assistance you require. Each discussion has its own topic and category, and we try to keep discussions on track. It makes it easier for those seeking help or looking for information on a specific topic to find what they're looking for.

I hope you didn't take offense to my reply, as it was not my intent to do so. I was only try to direct you to where you can get the best help.

    Be well.

  • Yes, you can add your own backgrounds but, since I don't have access to a Sandbox account, I can't give you any help.  I haven't even seen the available design features for 3.0.   Several NCs have created their own unique page designs.  Look here https://creators.ning.com/forum/topics/show-your-ning-3-0-sites and you'll see some who have.  Perhaps one of them could help you get off on the right foot.  Good Luck!!

  • Thanks for the Add, Cindy.  I'm glad your Sandbox problem has been solved.

  • Red Ribbon
  • As Long as they are happy that is all they care about, seems to me anyway.
