Hi, nice to meet you here. Would you be interested in connecting directly? Please respond so that I can add you as a friend here.
Have a great day!
Hi Cleopatra,
I can understand your frustration, hope ning can fix this problem very soon.
It's not so difficult, they just need to take all these "clean Chinese networks" and move them in another IP address that is not blocked from China, and make sure that they won't get porn sites on these IP addresses.....
But I guess now everybody is sleeping over there, hope they can fix it ASAP.
My network is not commercial, it's just a small community network but I was thinking to open a few other ones commercial, and now I am hesitating.......
Happy New Year

Honestly I don't understand much about Internet, Ip or DNS I am not good at that.
I know that my ISP is China unicom, but I think ning is hosted on their own servers; I don't know if all Internet service providers in China follow the same law
I created the ning network for our Armenian community here in China, so that Armenian in some parts of China can be in touch with each others.........
Right now I purchased the ning plus plan, hope as you said nothing will happen :-)
Have a good week end
Gullekian
As a matter of fact I called Ning head office yesterday, and as you said they weren't much help, they just said that they can give me a 30 days money back guarantee, and after that if it's blocked they can't do anything about it.......
But the guy also said that they have some issues with China and they're trying to work on it, I don't know if he really meant it or he was just saying that....
Any ways, I guess I'm going ahead take the risk and buy the plan, and hope as you said that the future would be bright.....and they won't block it.
For me I don't think China is blocking those IP's because of porn or political reason, I think they're blocking them because they want us to use their web hosting companies, they don't want us to buy form outside which is normally a lot cheaper than if we buy them form China.
There is the bjstuff for example, http://www.bjstuff.com/ they use the Ning system but I guess their web hosting company is in China because they are not blocked here.......
any ways I'm not too good in these things, I'm using the ning platform because it's very easy to create networks.....
Take care and thanks again
Regards
My name is Gullekian, I live in Beijing and I have a ning network for our community in China. http://haylink.ning.com/
I was referred to you by a ning creator, in one of my discussions regarding the Ning platform in China, here's the link of my discussion: https://creators.ning.com/forum/topics/still-waiting-for-an-answer
Hope you don't mind,
I was told that you might be able to help me with my issue, I see that you're in Guangzhou.
I want to purchase a "plus plan" but I'm worried if Ning IP is blocked in China (as it happened a few times in the past) what would be the alternative??
I asked ning about it, they opened a ticket but so far I didn't get any answer, hope you can help me with that.
P.S. if you can send me a private message with a number where I can reach you, I can call you tomorrow Saturday between 10:00AM to 11:00 am.
Maybe it would be better on the phone.
Thanks in advance
Gullekian
