Promote your facebook page as well as your ning network using Facebook Embedded Posts

Hey NCs,

It's me Bernard again. After a long time, I got a chance to share this small but could be effective tip with you all.

Well, Facebook Embedded Posts are a way to put public posts - by a Page or a person on Facebook - into the content of your web site or web page.

The embedded post will show any media attached to it, as well as the number of likes, shares, and comments that the post has. Embedding posts will let people using your web site see the same rich information that is shown on, and they will enable people to follow or like content authors or Pages directly from the embed.

How to do this?

First of all, you need to create a page
1. Create a page
2. Switch to HTML mode.

Secondly, you need to get your embedded post code.
1. Open you facebook page such as fan page, group etc.
2. Go to specific post and find like this "v" sign on the top right corner.
3. Click on " Embed Post" and copy the code.
4 Go back to your ning page and paste it. ( Make sure that your page is switched to html mode).

  • Is there any way to embed fb posts in forum comments, etc?  Or does it have to be 'page'?

    Thanks for sharing this!

Well Clark, in 2.0 totally not. Perhaps, in 3.0 you can embed in forum posts but not in comments. This is what I know..,

  • Thanks. Bernard. It works.

    Here you can see mine

  • Hi there Bernard

I tried this on the forum and it did not work but I will try creating a page.

    Thanks for the great tip.

not all Facebook users have the embed option..

which is why i posted a workaround a couple of weeks

in the post i also explain how to embed the fb script once in your backend and only use the last snippet of code for posts and pages... hope it helps..

  • So would I have to make a page specifically for fb posts or just a page that i have already made and add content?
