Unfortunately, previous fixes were giving just a temporary solution, that's why our tech department decided to change the architecture of this feature.
Also, that is a very important step which will give the ability to improve Activity Feed in the future.

That is true, our tech team has calculated the time needed to fix all the issue with activity feed and the time needed to recreate it from the scratch. And as you may already know the decision to re-work has been made. According to the plan we hope to finish its development in 3 weeks from now.
We do sorry for the inconveniences caused, however we hope to eliminate all the issues with activity feed this way once and for all, and make it more flexible for the future changes we are planing to do with it's functionality.

As far as I know, the older posts could be gone of course, but the last time it has happened only during the renovation. Of course, our tech team will try to save the older posts in teh activity, but it's hard to predict what will happen with the older posts as the activity feed not even in alfa at the moment.
