I'd like each group to have an activity stream with only its content. Is there a way to do that with the activity module? RSS or similar if not?

THAT is not a satisfactory answer. My entire group (all 147 of us) depend on the activity feed showing up on the right side of our blog pages (and I have it set to be on ALL the blog pages; it's continuity, AND more important, it avoids everyone having to subscribe to all the emails of posts. You've just successfully destroyed my site's functionality with this new "what's on your mind" kind of post in the activity feed. It's got to be the stupidest thing on the planet. Worse, it feels like Facebook. Blech.
Just thought someone ought to verbalize something that a lot of people are probably thinking. There's nothing I hate more than waking up to a Ning site that isn't the same anymore.
