Current status of the Ning Platform is always available on the Ning Status Blog.

Hello everyone!

Here is one idea that we have, basically your members are able to invite members to your network by uploading address book from the Gmail for example, but what if we would make this feature more functional?

Basically, there is the third party service that we can integrate on our platform, and it would allow the following:

- members would be able to upload their address books from a wide range of email services and choose to send the invites to some chosen contacts or the whole contact list

- also, it would allow the members to compare both their contact list and the network member list to find friends on the network

Unfortunately, as the feature is based on the integration of the 3rd party service, the subscription to this service would require a monthly payment from the NC. But since it's a benefit for the whole network and might increase network growth rate it might be worth it.

Please let us know if you think that this feature should be available on our platform and if you would be willing to pay a bit extra for such functionality.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Ning Team.

  • NC for Hire

    Yes I would

  • I loved the existing way of Inviting the members. Will not recommend a third party not for the cost but for security reason.

  • Hi there!

Thanks for all your replies, we will get back to this question a bit later when will have more free time, I suppose that would happen already next year.

However, if you still wish to share your opinion regarding this case, don't hesitate to leave a comment :-)

    Best regards,

    Ning Team.
