"Duh" Tip! 😲 Creative Uses for Photos In Ning Communities

You're gonna say "Duh....why didn't I think of that?"

The truth is... the Photos feature in Ning is by far one of the most powerful tools in your community arsenal and I'm going to tell you why: 

The description area is an amazing opportunity to get creative.

• You can embed all kinds of stuff
• like Videos
• Iframe other web apps undernieth the Photo
• Embed Documents (as I did with Spreadsheets for Land Surveyors above)
• Create bookshelves by uploading the cover photo of the book and then embed the PDF in the description..
• Embed HTML 5 Games and Playlists

Photos on Ning communities happen to have pretty good SEO power if certain practices are in place inside your community (ask me)

I remembered when I discovered this a while back I felt like I discovered a best kept secret. Thanks for highlighting this. I used this for embeding videos and used an anchor tag so when members clicked on the link it brought the video page to the top of the video.
